A Little Bit of Nothing Really

Not much is going on on this side of the pond in Oxford other than I'm eating croutons as a snack, listening to Maroon 5's new single, and uploading Instagram photos, all while looking out on this dreary rainy day. Many of you have seen these photo's via Instagram, but here they are for all of you who haven't.

Trying to be creative with my iPhone camera. Texture shot.

Playing with filters while out on a walk

Christ Church where parts of Harry Potter was filmed

Cute ducklings by the river!

My hubby took me out to lunch one day at the Turl Street Kitchen and I enjoyed what seemed like a vat of Hot Chocolate!

My happy man

One of our favorite snacks/dinner that carries over from our Escondido days
(Can you tell I'm missing Trader Joes?)

I pick wine bottles solely on their labels and this one was cute!

Zack surprised me with flowers one day!

They were so pretty

We've had a couple of really slow weeks at Unique Creations...

We had a delivery of Cupcake Soaps that look so realistic!

We sell over 50 different spools of ribbon too

Trying to be good and wear my Converse glasses more

Let my creative juices flow while decorating gifts for upcoming family birthdays

Love the simplicity of this one

Intensive planning for our trip to Berlin this Sunday by mapping out our routes so that I don't get lost while Zack is in meetings. Gulp. This should be interesting....

But non the less excited!!

A Costa Customer left this and I found it hilarious!

I'm addicted to sparkling water and drink it on my breaks

We just started serving a Ricotta and Spinach Panini which is so delish!

Got some reading in before I started my shift one day

Wrote down one of my favorite poems, "If"

Last Saturday we had a huge sampling day at Costa and a competition with other Costa Branches to see who could take in the most sales for the day. So in order to make it fun, we dressed up like Pirates!

Heard this song at work yesterday and it made me miss my Dad! He used to play this song when I was younger.

Got letters from home this morning! I'll get that scarf picture soon, Mom! Sorry!

Our neighbors have been leaving bags of garbage in the hallway multiple times a month, which smell terrible. So the other day I got fed up with the smell and wrote them a little note that went like this, "Please do not leave your garbage in the hallway. We've had complaints regarding the smell. Thank you." Signed it Summertown House, snuck over to their door, and slid the note under the door. Within the hour the note was discovered and the trash immediately taken out. Think I could get them to wash the hallway windows too? Just for kicks? :P

If

If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you; If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too: If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or being hated don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise; If you can dream---and not make dreams your master; If you can think---and not make thoughts your aim, If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same:. If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build'em up with worn-out tools; If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings, And never breathe a word about your loss: If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!" If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with Kings---nor lose the common touch, If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you, If all men count with you, but none too much: If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds' worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And---which is more---you'll be a Man, my son! Rudyard Kipling Just one of those days.
