Oxford

Last week we were able to travel back to our adopted hometown of Oxford. When the reality of being able to go back set in, I was so excited and couldn't wait to go back to the place we called home for a year almost two years ago! Arriving late Sunday night, we made plans to arise extra early and get a start on our journey of "remember this, remember that?" It was great to wander down all of those streets and see all the sights that became so familiar to us. Bittersweet was the feeling. This might be my last trip to Oxford and I wanted to soak it all back in. The old buildings, the intellectual conversations that sweeten the air, the double decker red buses that don't wait for anyone, Bangers and Mash, fish and chips, the Gourmet Burger Kitchen, the floral obsession in fashion and accessories for women, children calling out "Mum," newspaper covers on the latest with Will and Kate, boxed sandwiches for lunch, punting, and the typical cloudy sky. Oxford will forever hold a very special place in our hearts.
