Trip Part One (Grand Canyon)

Our trip to the Grand Canyon was amazing. I mean, you always think you'll be amazed by what you see, but when you get there, you are so much more amazed than you expected possible!

What's a road trip without your soundtrack?

We stayed in the little town of Williams, which is an hour drive away from the Grand Canyon. It ended up being the only place with a room available for the week we wanted.

Our first glimpse of the breath taking Grand Canyon

Dare devil me taking pictures off the edge!
There are hardly any railings so you can walk
right up to the edge!

So beautiful

The map called peaks like this one "temples"
There were temples to Egyptian Gods and the like

The weather predicted thunderstorms and this
is the cloud that was bearing down on us

Don't know if you can see close enough,
but on the right side of the picture,
you can see the rain coming

Cool sunset clouds

We hiked down a trail the next day and didn't
get very far before it started to rain again!
Ugg!

But we did get to see Elk! I was so excited as I've
never seen one!

A strange site.
A Flintstone campground......um....yeah....creepy

On our way to Vegas the next day this
was at a gas station. Weird.

What do you do when it gets too hot for pants?
Make "Man Capri's"

Haha! Some random people getting their picture
taken at the Hoover Dam and made their
way into ours!

We were stuck in traffic here for about 45 minutes.
Don't go this way unless you want to spend the day here.
