Recipes anyone???

As a poor college couple, I have been trying to become creative with our limited resources. :)
Our diet mainly consists of chicken, ground beef, potatoes, and veggies. (Dinner courses)

I was wondering if any of you readers would be so kind as to drop me a recipe or two to help spice up these ingredients! The more flavorful the better!!

Thanks!

I don't have anything for beef, but
I think the stuff is for the most part, affordable

In this one, i'm thinking there are a lot of veggies, so you could put potatos in the place of another veggie.

spring soup
1 tablespoon of unsalted butter
3 medium carrots, peeled and sliced
2 medium onions, peeled and chopped
2 celery stalks, chopped
1/4 cup of tomato paste
2 bouillion cubes, veggie or chicken, crumbled
salt and pepper to taste
2 cups shreded green cabbage
1/2 cup sliced green beans
1 teaspoon of cornstarch
2 chicken breasts, cooked (i suppose you could use beef)

Step One
Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the carrots, onions, and celery. then cook, stirring, for four minutes. DON'T LET THE VEGGIES BROWN!!!

Step Two
Stir in the tomato paste andf bouillon cubes, add 4 1/2 cups of water, and season with salt and pepper.

Step Three
Bring to a boil, stirring, then cover the pan, reduce the heat, and simmer until the veggies are tender, another ten minutes.

Step Four
Stir in the cabbage and green beans, cover again, and simmer until the veggies are tender, another ten minutes

Step Five
In a bowl, Blend the cornstarch with a little warm water and stir it into the soup. Bring the soup back to a boil, stirring continuously, and cook for two minutes.

Step Six
Reduce the heat, add the chicken, and simmer, uncovered, for ten more minutes, then add salty and pepper if needed and serve the soup.

i have more if you want them.
